Why fund artists as leaders?
Artists with a vision for community impact can become mired in subsistence from event to event instead of dreaming big. By disrupting this cycle, the Fund for Artist Leadership makes a different kind of contribution to the arts: investing in the leader, rather than an organization or program.
The fund supports hard costs for artists pursuing:
- Leadership development training
- Arts sector conferences
- Grant writing classes
- Mentoring
- Business coaching
- Legal counsel
- Accounting tools and services
Apply to the Fund for Artist Leadership
Letters of interest (LOI) are accepted on a rolling basis – please use the below prompts to craft your letter. Keep in mind the typical size of a grant is $250-$3,000, payable directly to whatever leadership opportunity you plan to pursue (the Foundation does not make grants to individuals). Send your letter of interest to claire@beevradenburgfoundation.org and we will respond within 30 days.

Please note: The Fund for Artist Leadership supports the professional growth of artists and administrators whose work strengthens the Pikes Peak Region’s creative ecosystem. While furthering their craft is an important part of artists’ professional growth, the intent of this program is specifically to help artists grow as leaders.
In keeping with the Foundation’s mission, this funding opportunity welcomes applications from people with marginalized identities who encounter barriers to furthering their professional growth.
