Grantees in the Spotlight 2004

Wells Foundation for
the Performing Arts

Bee Vradenburg Foundation is
proud to play a part in nurturing
the next generation of performers. Through nearly $30,000 in grants made in 2003 and 2004 to Wells Foundation for the Performing Arts, the foundation has supported scholarships at the Colorado Springs Conservatory, a preparatory school for the performing arts.

Scholarships are awarded to students who display exceptional efforts in not only their studies, but in those qualities that will make tomorrow's cultural leaders.

Since 1993, the Colorado Springs Conservatory has provided performing-arts education through a semester-based, after-school program. The Conservatory now serves more than 250 students a year with a curriculum that includes vocal and instrumental music, theater, visual art, theory and composition. Conservatory students have gone on to attend institutions such as Oberlin Conservatory, New England Conservatory and the Berklee School of Music.
